He has 24 years of experience in lichenology, holds a PhD in Lichenology from the University of Helsinki, Finland, and has editorial experience in several lichen-related journals. He pioneered Iran’s first Lichen Museum and, since 2024, has worked at Kew while continuing to contribute voluntarily to advancing lichen studies in the Garden.
